Sorry for no update recently. There has actually been work to do at work. There is a brief respite at the moment, where I am just scanning some images again. I should be doing metadata, but I am leaving it till later so I will continue to have something to do.
I have found that transparencies, despite being printed material, they scan like slides. So they can be blown up a lot and still look good. Yay!
I have also found that my life plans for the future do not constitute as a legitimate history for a character. At least by the way I wrote it. I need to add major detail to tie up the loose ends. Apparently the most implausible points are that a) two Native Americans would move from the res to Japan, where there is the whole xenophobia and anti-gaijin phenomena running amok and 2) that the child of said Natives would retain any of his native culture. Apparently this was on high authority from a 'friend who has studied in Japan for a while' and living in an 'immigration-heavy part of America'. Apparently this woman has never met Natives in real life and, when I explained that it would be research and personal interest, she was all "it is not plausible for them to go".... yeah... So I pulled the characters to write a more detail-oriented profile for my character that shows all the steps to the plan. *Sigh*
Apparently she doesn't know that Japanese people have an odd, extreme fondness for Native Americans, their culture, their art, and their jewelry. And that any Japanese person that meets one is instantly amourous.
I also love how I also "checked the facts" and a number of Americans have made the move and are relatively accepted. Like the professor of mine who even married a Japanese woman and went through Japanese ceremonies. And had a son that was pretty much accepted into the community. I mean, there was some teasing, but that isn't unusual when you are in a different country. Yeah....
Oh well. I pulled the character for now until I can write a more acceptable version of the same damn thing. And though I am frustrated that a woman who is a moderator for a site that features an ISLAND OF JUST MEN WITH PRECIOUS METALS FOR CURRENCY cannot find it acceptable, I will bow out for the moment.
So I am kinna bored. Yeaaaaah.... *sigh* Gotta log off and go.

Annie
One of my best friends ever, Annie was my roommate Sophomore year of college at Willamette. She has gotten me into a few animes and music. I wish I were as wonderful at art as she is.
Alexis
The other half of NekXis and therefore my other half. This makes things relatively confusing when explaining relationships to other people. She is my Vice President for NAEA. One of my best friends ever.
Alex
Could be referencing either my little brother or Annie's boyfriend. If I am talking about family, it is my little brother. If I am just talking about my group of friends or College life in general, it is Annie's boyfriend.
Domino
Domino is one of our cats. She is really hyper and getting really big. She likes to chase bugs and will cuddle you to death. Especially at 6:30 in the morning.
Josh
My fiance and the man I love dearly. We tend to be silly and ridiculous, and you may hear of our many escapades. We currently live together, which makes life easier and less expensive (in regards to trips back and forth and time traveled) and lets us get used to living together. Oh, in case you forgot: I love him!
Phillip
The somewhat odd, slightly dorky, music-and-film-snob that happens to be our tech guy and friend. He is really busy this year, though, so I don't get to chill with him much.
Princess
Our other cat. She is spoiled and picky and likes to eat bugs. She lets Domino catch them, but then likes to steal them and eat them. And click at them. She is the older cat, but is smaller.
NAEA
The Native American Enlightenment Association. The Native club on campus of which I am current standing President. We put on the annual PowWow at Willamette.

The Apartment
Where Josh and I live. It is a 30-minute walk from Campus to the apartment.
Cat
The short version of Cat Cavern, the secondary foodsource here on campus which used to have delicious quesedillas that I got once a week. Now they don't carry them anymore, but serve buffalo burgers!
Goudy
The foodsource here on campus. I disdain most of the cooking, as they do not use spice or overload the food with it. I have also gotten sick after eating their food more than once in my Willamette career.
Haseldorf
A place that I cannot spell but where Annie and Alexis live. Also where we tend to hang out and thoroughly amuse ourselves.
Kaneko
A.K.A. Pluto. This is connected to TIUA, and has food that I am too lazy to cross the freaking skybridge to get to. It does have some decent food, though.
Montag
The convenience store and the place where we tend to go when hungry at 10pm. "We" being when I am on campus at 10pm. There is tasty stuff, unfortunately it is all junk food.
Sparks
The Athletic center on campus. I rarely go there.
TIUA
The Tokyo International University of America. Some sister-city school with Tokyo. Cause we are cool that way. The TIUA students are amazing, though! Happens to also be on pluto, being attached to Kaneko.
Willamette
The school I go to. Also called WU.
WISH
The Willamette International Studies House, where all but Phillip and Alex(the boyfriend) lived last year. I liked my room there. A nice, small community.
Work (MMWR)
This is the Multimedia Work Room, where I am a programs assistant. I work this job about 8hrs a week M-F.
Work (Art Dept.)
This is the job that I have scanning images for the Art Department/Library. There are many rants about what happens at this job.

This is the job where I work on websites within the Willamette website. It tends to be things like "fix this broken link," "give this a title," or "build out these pages." It is still fun, though. And Annie works there with me now!
